Things to note

• This connector works as a source: user details flow from Google Workspace to your other apps. To update a user's profile, make the change in the Google Admin console and it will sync automatically.
• Connecting requires a Google Workspace administrator account with permission to view users in your organization.
• Only directory users are synced. Groups, shared contacts, and resources such as meeting rooms are not included.
• Custom user attributes, departments, managers, and profile photos are not synced at the moment.
• Addresses are synced as a single, full address line rather than separate street, city, and postal code fields.

Will SyncPenguin change anything in my Google Workspace directory?

No. The connector only reads user information from your directory and never creates, edits, or deletes Google Workspace users.

Do I need to be a Google Workspace admin to connect?

Yes. Because the connector reads your organization's user directory, you need to connect with an administrator account that can view users.

Can I exclude suspended, archived, or hidden users?

Yes. With SyncPenguin's no-code filters you can sync only the users you want, for example only active users who are listed in the global address list, or only users with a phone number.

How quickly are new employees and changes synced?

SyncPenguin listens for directory changes from Google Workspace and syncs new users, profile updates, and removed users automatically, usually shortly after the change is made.

What happens to contacts when an employee leaves the company?

When a user is deleted in Google Workspace, SyncPenguin can automatically remove the matching contact from the connected apps. You can also use deletion rules to remove contacts when a user is suspended or archived.
